During a General Meeting in May 1961, St George Preca emphasised with the Members the importance of expanding the SDC, saying, “How necessary it is for our Society to spread, because there is a great need in the world for those who teach!”. This statement set the theme for the meeting held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in the Auditorium at Blata l-Bajda. The meeting celebrated the SDC, with a particular focus on its missionary work. Present were SDC Members and Candidates, together with the Elects and Aspirants from the Delegation of Malta and Gozo.
Several Members and Candidates shared the missionary experiences they had during the past months. The SDC Candidates visited the two Centres in Peru, while several Members visited the SDC Centres in Kenya, Cuba, Australia, and Albania. In addition, a group of Members travelled to the Philippines for a familiarisation visit, where the Society plans to begin its apostolate in the coming months.
May more people experience the saving love and mercy of Jesus through the apostolate of the SDC!
