“My mother didn’t speak to me for a year because I was becoming a nun.” – Sr Matlene

Social media can be used to sow the seed of faith.

Is-soru Franġiskana tal-Qalb ta’ Ġesù Matlene Hatalan Farrugia stqarret li ommha għall-bidu ma aċċettatx li hi kienet dieħla soru tant li għamlet sena ma tkellimhiex. Spjegat li dan seħħ għax ommha ma setgħetx tifhem x’se jġib miegħu pass bħal dan aktar milli għax hi kienet kontra d-deċiżjoni tagħha.

Għandna llum din il-ġrajja drammatika ta’ Ġesù li jiltaqa’ ma’ dal-bniedem li kien maħkum minn spirti ħżiena. U hawnhekk naraw lil Ġesù: li għandu l-awtorità fuq il-ħażen; li kollu mħabba u ħniena għal min qiegħed ibati; u li jġib bidla bil-qawwa trasformattiva tal-imħabba tiegħu.
