Mass for APS workers

  Swatar Parish Church

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

Ftit tal-jiem ilu rajt filmat ta’ mara f’Gaża, omm, li tawha f’idejha lil binha maqtul. Kienet xena kommoventi, ta’ qsim il-qalb, meta tara lil binha, li tant ħabbet, jispiċċa maqtul minħabba l-bumbardamenti ta’ Gaża. Xi ħtija kellu dat-tifel? X’għamel biex spiċċa hekk? Ommu kienet qed tibki biki ta’ qsim il-qalb. Bħal din l-omm, kien hemm ħafna oħrajn hemmhekk stess f’Gaża, kif ukoll f’postijiet oħra bħall-vittmi tal-attakk terroristiku f’Israel, tal-aggressjoni tar-Russja fl-Ukrajna, u diversi pajjiżi oħra… Read more »

Pope appeals for end to war in Sudan

Dear brothers and sisters, good morning!

As we celebrate Palm Sunday today, we have listened to the account of the Lord’s Passion according to Luke (cf. Lk 22:14-23:56) in the Gospel. We have heard Jesus addressing the Father several times: ” “Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, not my will but yours be done.” (22:42); Father, forgive them, they know not what they do ‘ (23:34); Father, into your hands I commend my spirit” (23:46)… Read more »

Psalm: 26 (27):1,2,3,13-14

Gospel: John 12:1-11

Six days before Passover Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. They gave a dinner for him there, and Martha served, while Lazarus was one of those reclining at table with him. First of all, I would like to greet our guests. I am happy to notice that you can also follow the liturgy through the booklets, in a number of languages.

Ġesù, minn fuq is-salib, fl-Evanġelju li għadna kemm smajna fil-Passjoni ta’ Ġesù skont San Luqa, jagħtina tliet kelmiet għeżież. L-ewwel nett, Ġesù stess, jiddefendi lil min sallbu: “Aħfrilhom, għax ma jafux x’inhuma jagħmlu” (Lq 23:34)… Read more »
