It is a particularly dark vice, and it is perhaps the easiest to detect from a physical point of view. The person dominated by wrath finds it difficult to hide this impulse: you can recognize it from the movements of his body, his aggressiveness, his laboured breathing, his grim and frowning expression… Read more »

Do not set aside our lives, do not set aside our country – Bishop Galea-Curmi

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Oħroġ, ja spirtu ħażin, minn dan il-bniedem!” (Mk 5:8) Dan hu li Ġesù jgħid lil dan il-bniedem, kif rajna fl-Evanġelju llum. Huwa każ ta’ Ġesù li jeħles lil dan il-bniedem mill-ispirtu ħażin, anzi minn spirti ħżiena fih. Ġesù kien għadu kif qasam il-baħar bid-dgħajsa, u ġie n-naħa l-oħra flimkien mad-dixxipli tiegħu. U mal-ewwel jersaq fuqu dal-bniedem. Nafu li Ġesù, bħalma għamel f’ċirkustanzi oħra, l-ewwel ħaġa li jagħmel hu li lil dal-bniedem jeħilsu mill-ispirti ħżiena ta’ ġo fih… Read more »
