The Archbishop to the students: Learn to love

Maria Regina College, Mosta Secondary, Żokrija

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Nirringrazzjakom ħafna, li għażiltu li tiġu għal din il-quddiesa, u li għandi ċans, inkellimkom xi ftit. L-ewwel kelma li nixtieq ngħidilkom hi kelma ta’ kuraġġ għax ħafna drabi jiġru affarijiet f’ħajjitna li jaqtgħulna qalbna. Jew ma nkunux ċerti li hemm xi ħadd li tassew iħobbna u jkollna bżonn kbir, li aħna nħossuna maħbubin; li xi ħadd hu tassew ħabib jew ħabiba; li xi ħadd hemm barra, jew qrib tiegħi, jagħti kasi u jimpurtah minni… Read more »

A love that brings joy to our hearts – Bishop Galea-Curmi

  Parish Church, Balzan

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Ejjew inħobbu lil xulxin għax l-imħabba ġejja minn Alla” (1 Ġw 4:7). Dal-kliem, mill-Ewwel Ittra ta’ San Ġwann, flimkien mal-kliem ta’ Ġesù fl-Evanġelju – “Dan hu li qiegħed nikkmandakom: li tħobbu lil xulxin” (Ġw 15:17) – jgħinuna biex immorru fil-qalba tal-ħajja Nisranija: l-imħabba.

Ġesù jfakkarna li fl-aħħar mill-aħħar, l-aktar li tiswa u l-isbaħ esperjenza fil-ħajja tagħna hi proprju l-imħabba… Read more »

  Saint Peter's Square, The Vatican

Dear brothers and sisters, good morning!

Today the Gospel tells us about Jesus who says to the Apostles: “I do not call you servants any longer, but friends” (cf Jn 15:15). What does this mean?

In the Bible the “servants” of God are special people, to whom He entrusts important missions, such as, for example, Moses (cf. Ex 14:31), King David (cf.  … Read more »
