Pope at Audience: Do I truly love the Lord to the point of wanting to proclaim him?

Paul VI Audience Hall, The Vatican

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today we will conclude the series dedicated to apostolic zeal, in which we have allowed the Word of God to inspire us, to help nurture a passion for the proclamation of the Gospel. And this involves every Christian. Let us consider the fact that in Baptism, the celebrant, touching the ears and the lips of the baptized, says: “May the Lord Jesus, who made the deaf hear and the mute speak, grant that you may soon receive his word and profess the faith”… Read more »

“Thanks to the Neocatechumenal Walk several individuals become closer to the Church”

Il-Mixja Neokatekumenali ċċelebrat il-50 sena tagħha f’Malta, li bdiet mill-Parroċċa tal-Kunċizzjoni tal-Ħamrun u matul iż-żmien infirxet f’diversi parroċċi madwar Malta.

F’intervista ma’ Gabriel Lia fuq il-programm What’s On Newsbook fuq RTK103, Luke Vella, seminarista u wieħed mill-aħwa tal-Mixja Neokatekumentali, esprima s-sodisfazzjon biċ-ċelebrazzjoni li kellhom u tkellem dwar il-bidu tal-Mixja f’Malta.

Hu saħaq li permezz ta’ din il-Mixja jersqu bosta nies lejn il-knisja li “mhux neċessarjament kienu viċin il-Knisja, anzi kienu ‘l bogħod u llum huma xhieda ħajja ta’ Kristu”, filwaqt li ġie spjegat li Neokatekumenali tfisser bidu ġdid għal individwi li huma diġà katekumeni… Read more »

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

Naqraw fl-Evanġelju li “lkoll baqgħu mistagħġba” (Lq 5:26). Smajtu dil-ġrajja tal-lum, u kien hemm ħafna biex tistagħġeb! Immaġinaw, aħna qegħdin hawn illum u jinfetaħ dan is-saqaf u jniżżlu lil xi ħadd minn hemmhekk u jiġi quddiemna hawn fuq mitraħ, xi ħadd li kellu bżonn min ifejqu. Ġesù hekk ġralu. Meta kien qed jitkellem man-nies u qed jgħallimhom, f’daqqa waħda fetħu biċċa mis-saqaf biex iniżżlu wieħed ħalli jfejqu… Read more »
