Archbishop: Action needed on rainwater harvesting

Malta needs to devise better methods of harvesting rainwater due to the increasing scarcity of this “essential component of life” due to climate change, Archbishop Charles Scicluna said. 

Speaking during a presentation of a book entitled ‘The History of Water Conservation on the Maltese Islands’ by graphic designer and author Steven Mallia, the Archbishop highlighted experts’ concerns on Malta’s depleted water table and said timely action was necessary to conserve and make better use of the underground water storage facilities built by our forefathers.

Armed Forces of Malta concert in aid of Dar tal-Providenza

On the occasion of the International Day for Persons with Disability, this year’s annual Armed Forces of Malta Concert will be held in aid of Dar tal-Providenza at the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Paul in Mdina. The last two Tapestries return to Malta after restoration

On Monday 14 November 2022, two unique tapestries woven on the cartoons of world-renowned artist Peter Paul Rubens returned to Malta following restoration in Belgium. The two tapestries, forming part of a set of twenty-nine, were the last two tapestries sent for restoration in 2017. They depict the Annunciation and the Four Evangelists.
