Fl-aħħar ġimgħa tas-sena liturġika, l-Evanġelji jfakkruna fit-tmiem. Aħna rridu nikkonfrontaw ruħna mal-qawwa tan-natura, li tfakkarna kemm m’aħna xejn; u, kif kollox, inkluż il-ħolm tagħna, jista’ jiġġarraf f’mument. Illum pereżempju, x’ġurnata ta’ riħ qawwi. Il-messaġġ tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Sinjur Alla, jien għandi bżonnok”. Eċċellenza, din it-talba sempliċi u profonda ta’ San Ġorġ Preca, flimkien ma’ “Grazzi Sinjur Alla u aħfirli Sinjur Alla”, hi waħda mill-espressjonijiet l-aktar komuni li smajtek tgħid kemm-il darba f’okkażjoni jew oħra f’dawn l-aħħar għaxar snin, u donnu iktar kemm ilek arċisqof. Nifhmek. Naraha tesprimi ħafna l-konvinzjoni tiegħek, li għandha tkun ukoll tagħna, imma naraha wkoll tiġbor dak li tul dawn l-għaxar snin int fittixt li twassal u twettaq b’tant dedikazzjoni u ġenerożità… Read more »

Mass on the 10th anniversary since Mgr Charles Scicluna was ordained bishop

  St John's Co-Cathedral, Valletta

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Il-kelma li Ġesù jgħid lil Pietru nitlobkom biex tibqa’ tidwi fil-qalb tiegħi: “Ejja warajja” bħalma tibqa’ tidwi fil-qalb tiegħi l-mistoqsija li Ġesù jagħmel lil Pietru għal darba, darbtejn, tlieta: “Tħobbni int?” (Ġw 21:16). Itolbu għalija biex inħoss l-għafsa tal-qalb bħalma għamel Pietru,  meta nagħraf id-dgħufija tiegħi u niftakar fi dnubieti u b’sens ta’ fiduċja lill-Mulej ngħidlu: “Mulej, inti taf kollox, inti taf li nħobbok” (Ġw 21:17)… Read more »
