EU funds for the restoration of the Chapel of Santa Marija tal-Ħlas in Żejtun

Chapel of Santa Marija tal-Ħlas, Żejtun

Fil-ġimgħat li ġejjin se jibda r-restawr tal-kappella ta’ Santa Marija tal-Ħlas b’investiment ta’ madwar €130,000, ko-finanzjati b’fondi Ewropej. Id-dettalji dwar il-proġett tħabbru mis-Segretarju Parlamentari għall-Fondi Ewropej Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi, mis-Segretarju Amministrattiv tal-Arċidjoċesi ta’ Malta Michael Pace Ross, u mill-Arċipriet taż-Żejtun Dun Nicholas Pace.

Waqt il-konferenza tal-aħbarijiet ġie spjegat li l-istruttura tal-kappella ddeterjorat ħafna minħabba dħul ta’ ilma mis-saqaf u l-umdità. B’dan l-investiment se jinbnew ħames strutturi fuq in-naħa tan-Nofsinhar tal-kappella biex jissaħħaħ il-ħajt u b’hekk jissaħħu l-ħnejjiet tas-saqaf tal-kappella… Read more »

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

Il-ġrajja ta’ meta Ġesù daħal fit-tempju u keċċa l-bejjiegħa mit-tempju hi ġrajja li nsibuha fl-Evanġelji kollha. F’San Luqa nsibu inqas dettalji, insibuha fil-qosor, imma joħroġ ukoll tajjeb ir-rabja li kellu Ġesù hu u jkeċċi dawn il-bejjiegħa mit-tempju, xi ħaġa li qatt ma kien għamel.

Għaliex Ġesù rrabja daqshekk? Ġesù ried jieħu azzjoni drastika, li biha jagħti messaġġ qawwi lin-nies ta’ żmienu, u lilna wkoll… Read more »

Tomorrow's economy should not only be measured through economic growth but also through quality of life

“I pray and bless all educators who courageously tell us what is truly good for us” – The Archbishop

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Il-bikja ta’ Ġesù fuq Ġerusalemm tintroduċina għall-aħħar żmien tas-sena liturġika fejn il-kliem ta’ Ġesù u s-siltiet tal-Evanġelju jitkellmu dwar it-tmiem ta’ Ġerusalemm, it-tmien tad-dinja, it-tmiem ta’ kull wieħed u waħda minna f’din il-ħajja.

Il-Mulej Ġesù jibki fuq Ġerusalemm (ara Lq 19:45). Fil-bikja ta’ mħabba, ta’ diqa u ta’ dulur għal din il-belt li huwa ħabb u li fiha kellu jiġi kkundannat ’il barra mill-ħitan tagħha, kellu jiġi msallab, midfun u mbagħad jirxoxta… Read more »
