THE ARCHBISHOP LEADS A PILGRIMAGE IN LOURDES

Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. left Malta on Thursday evening, 21st July 2011, to lead a pilgrimage for the sick in Lourdes organised by the Society for the Transport of Sick People. The Archbishop is accompanied by Mgr Annetto Depasquale, Vicar General and Archbishop Emeritus Joseph Mercieca. The pilgrimage is being attended by 130 people, including sick people, volunteers and pilgrims. They will return to Malta on Wednesday 27th July, 2011… Read more »

UPDATED: A TRIBUTE TO TEKLEAB HAILE

The Refugees Section of the Emigrants’ Commission pays its respects to Ashih TEKLEAB HAILE, a refugee from Eritrea who escaped from his home land to save his life and who passed away tragically in Malta, yesterday, 20th July 2011, after saving a French man from drowning.

32 year old Tekleab is married to Selemawit Hagus Belay. They met and married in Sudan in 2006 and arrived in Malta by sea in October 2009… Read more »

ARCHBISHOP’S PASTORAL VISITS IN 2011

This year, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. visited six parishes between January and March. His first Pastoral Visit was held in Zabbar parish followed by Marsascala, Fgura, Fleur de Lys, Swatar and Birkirkara. To date, the Archbishop visited 36 out of 70 parishes.
