THE CATHOLIC INSTITUTE CELEBRATES ITS FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY

On Tuesday, 18th may, 2010, the Catholic Institute will celebrate its 50th anniversary. On this occasion, Archbishop Emeritus Joseph Mercieca will celebrate Mass at the Catholic Institute for all employees.

This institution was created by the Church to spread Christian education as well as to offer the public a means of recreation.

The Portuguese are discovering the true face of Benedict XVI, which in no way is that of a distant or cold person, says the director of the Vatican press office.

Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi affirmed this in speaking with journalist Aura de Miguel about the first days of the Pope’s four-day trip to Portugal.
