IMBALANCE AGAINST THE FAMILY

Fil-bidu ta’ din il-ġimgħa kellna t-tnedija tal-moviment ‘Iva’. Mhux ‘iva’ biex tissaħħaħ il-familja Maltija, imma ‘Iva’ għat-tkissir tagħha! Tnieda l-moviment ‘Iva’ għad-divorzju, li ddikjara li kien se jimpenja ruħu biex f’Malta jkollna leġislazzjoni dwar id-divorzju. Bħal f’pajjiżi oħra, wara kollox!

L-ironija hi, li minflok ma nitgħallmu mill-esperjenzi qarsa ta’ pajjiżi oħra li daħħlu d-divorzju, u issa qed jgħixu l-konsegwenzi soċjali li dan ġab miegħu, nidfnu rasna fir-ramel u nagħmlu ta’ rasna, kif ngħidu bil-Malti, u ninsistu li d-divorzju hu “dritt ċivili” li għandu jidħol f’pajjiżna… Read more »

Well then, there were seven brothers; the first, having married a wife, died childless… Read more »
