Palm Sunday, 17th April, 2011 – the Day of Youth was commemorated by the Diocese in the Parish of San Ġwann. The celebration was officiated by Archbishop Paul Cremon0a O.P. who blessed the Palm leaves before a procession that took young people from Santa Margerita Chapel to the Parish Church of Our Lady of Lourdes.
The community of San Ġwann greeted the young people in the church where Mass was celebrated together with the Archbishop. At the end of the celebration, commemorative tokens were given out to those gathered.
The Day of Youth was celebrated with the participation of various youth communites and co-ordinated by the parish youth group, Axon, and the Youth Commission within the Church, KDŻ.
