On Palm Sunday, 17th April, 2011, dioceses around the world are celebrating the Day of Youth. Not least is the Church in Malta, that has commemorated the day ever since it was first declared by Pope John Paul II in 1984.
This year, the diocesan celebrations are hosted by the Parish of San Gwann. The programme starts with the traditional blessing of Palm leaves at Santa Margerita Chapel, 5:40pm. The young people will then proceed to the Parish church where Mass will be presided over by Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P.
The Day of Youth is co-ordinated by the Youth Commission within the Church in collaboration with Axon youth community and RiSe music ministry. For further details kindly email [email protected]
