On Thursday 25th of September, Archbishop Paul Cremona welcomes back this summer’s volunteers at St Vincent de Paule Home. More than 350 young people have, over the past months, spent their holidays at the service of others in need. Voluntary projects were carried out in Malta and abroad; some in countries as distant as India and Mozambique.

The annual homecoming ceremony celebrates the individual experiences of volunteers. The theme this year, Welcome Home, encourages the participants to keep up their voluntary spirit. In the European year of active ageing and inter-generational solidarity, the residents of St Vincent de Paule are opening their home to the young volunteers.

The evening’s programme, starting at 6:30pm, helps the young people to share their adventures between themselves and with the home residents. Welcome Home is being organised by InYgo with the support of the Diocesan Youth Commission (KDŻ).
