Seminarian André Psaila from Christ the King Parish in Paola, was instituted into the Ministry of Lector by Archbishop Charles Scicluna during a Mass celebrating the Word of God Sunday and the Feast of the Conversion of St Paul at Mdina Cathedral.
As Lector, seminarian André Psaila becomes an official reader of the Word of God during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. He will have the responsibility of proclaiming the Word of God through catechesis, as well as during Christian formation meetings. He is also tasked with delivering the message of salvation to those who have not yet received it. This ministry is given to seminarians who have reached the fifth year of their formation at the Seminary.
The Church in Malta invites Catholics to continue praying for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and for all seminarians. In a special way, we pray for André Psaila, asking for God’s protection throughout his vocational journey.
