On Friday, 18th February 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. participated in a seminar organized by the Pastoral Section on Workplace at the Curia. The subject discussed was the role of Trade Unions in society. This seminar was attended, amongst others, by the Secretary General of the General Workers Union, Mr. Tony Zarb, the Secretary General of the Union Haddiema Maqghudin, Mr. Gejtu Vella, the President of Forum Unions Maltin, Mr. John Bencini, the Director of the Malta Employers Association, Mr. Joe Farrugia and the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, Dr. Noel Vella. Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. concluded this seminar with a message inspired by the book of Genesis, where he spoke about the relationship between the centrality of the human person and the role of trade unions in favour of workers.
