New Ecclesiastical Directory

A new edition of the Ecclesiastical Directory for 2014 with over 500 pages of updated information in Maltese and English about the organization, including structures and entities of the Archdiocese of Malta, has just been published.
The Ecclesiastical Directory includes detailed information about the Curia in Malta, the Secretariats and Commissions, Parishes, Religious Orders, Institutions, Movements and Groups, Homes for the Elderly and Church Schools.
The section about parishes includes detailed information about the number of parishioners and families; Masses on Sundays and Feast Days, as well as during the week; processions; the names of the religious associations and movements represented in the various parishes; the number of Baptisms, First Holy Communions, Confirmations, Marriages and Funerals held in the previous year in every parish; and small churches or chapels where marriages can be celebrated.
The Directory includes two separate lists of all diocesan priests in Malta and Gozo together with their contact details; information about Maltese priests, religious and lay people giving service to the Church in other countries; and a section about the Diocese of Gozo and priests in Gozo.
The 2014 Ecclesiastical Directory has been edited by Mgr Joe Magro and can be purchased for 15 Euro from the Archbishop’s Curia, the Catholic Action Bookshop at the Catholic Institute in Floriana and the ‘Emmaus’ Bookshop in Birkirkara.
