Life Network Foundation, which is dedicated to protecting and empowering women and children, is excited to announce seven new residential flatlets during Life Week 2023. These flatlets have been designed to support and empower mothers and their children who have benefited from living at Dar Tgħanniqa ta’ Omm with their new-born babies but are now ready to make the first step into independent living.
“Our experience has shown that a gentle step towards completely independent living gives mothers and their children the best chance of a strong and independent future,” said Christie Zammit, Administrative Officer of Dar Tgħanniqa ta’ Omm. “The aim of these flatlets is to support these women as they continue their education or settle into full time employment.”
The flatlets will offer mothers the opportunity to either study or work while they stay for up to three years. The seven flatlets have been acquired and refurbishment works are commencing this week. We hope that will be available to take in the first residents by May 2023.
“Life Network is committed to providing women and children with the resources they need to succeed, and these new flatlets are an important step towards empowering women and helping them achieve independence,” said Dr Miriam Sciberras, Chairman Life Network Foundation.
Life Network Foundation is currently on a fundraising drive to raise €50,000 by Sunday 22nd to go towards its work in support, education and advocacy.
