On Monday 14th March, 2011, the Young People’s Forum was held at St James Cavalier Music Room, discussing the impact of Social Media on contemporary society. The event brought to a close a discussion process that started in November last year when young communities engaged in a debate on the issue.

The collated perspectives voiced by young people were presented and the audience exchanged reactions. Present to the forum were Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. and Hon. Luciano Busuttil and Hon. Karl Gouder, Members of Parliament, who also gave their views on the discussion.

The process involved 14 groups from around Malta representing over 300 young people. Towards the end of the forum, each community was awarded a certificate in recognition of its contribution to the debate.

The results from the process will be documented in a memorandum and formally presented to Church and State authorities. This is the fourth edition of the Young People’s Forum organized by the Diocesan Commission for Youth (KDŻ).
