Palm Sunday, April 1 2012 – The Day of Youth was celebrated across Catholic dioceses around the world. The Church in Malta too marked the occasion during youth masses over the weekend, highlighting the faith of the young.
An official Mass was presided over by Archbishop Paul Cremona in Mosta parish church. In his message, Mons. Cremona reflected on the experience of joy through suffering, preparing young people ahead of Holy Week.
The message was also relayed to the other youth masses around Malta with a video recording of the message, filmed prior to the Day of Youth. Over 20 youth masses are held in different parishes and communities every weekend.
The official Mass was organized by the Mosta Parish Commission for Young People while the video was produced by BoscoCrew Productions. Day of Youth celebrations were co-ordinated by the Youth Commission within the Church.
