L‑Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna ħatar lil Dun Anton D’Amato bħala Direttur tal‑Kummissjoni Migranti, li kienet magħrufa bħala l‑Kummissjoni Emigranti. Huwa qed jieħu post Mons. The Regulations for Admissions in Church Schools in Gozo have been published, and applications for ‘Other Applicants’ in Church Schools in Malta will start being accepted, for the scholastic year commencing in September 2021.

The Secretariat for Catholic Education and the Association of Church Schools (CSA) condemn the irresponsible behaviour of the Union of Professional Educators (UPE) in publishing information on its Facebook page about COVID-19 cases in Church schools, which is causing unnecessary alarm and anxiety among students, parents, and educators.

Since the start of the pandemic, Dr Grech, in his official capacity and along with his colleagues, has given very valid advice when considering whether or not to physically welcome students, educators, and staff in schools. The Archdiocese of Malta and the Diocese of Gozo reaffirm the decision to disassociate themselves from Komunità Ġesù Salvatur. This follows the work carried out by a Church commission which heard the experiences of all those who offered to meet up with the commission, including the leaders of the Community.
