CURIA CHRISTMAS PARTY

On Wednesday 23rd December 2009, Archbishop Paul Cremona OP, Bishop Annetto Depasquale, and Archbishop Emeritus Joseph Mercieca exchanged their Christmas greetings with all Curia employees and collaborators. Likewise Mgr. Laurence Gatt also delivered a few words of greetings on behalf of all those present. ARCHBISHOP VISITS SAN BLAS RESIDENTS

On Friday, 18th December 2009, Archbishop Paul Cremona OP visited San Blas residents and employees. The Archbishop prayed with the residents and afterwards was invited to dinner. The Archbishop was impressed by the initiative of the residents at making cribs and complimented them. JOHN PAUL II CLOSER TO CANONIZATION

Benedict XVI authorized the decrees that recognize the heroic virtue of Popes John Paul II and Pius XII, which pushes them both one step closer to canonization.

The German Pontiff approved a total of 21 decrees Saturday, five of which are for miracles attributed to those who are beatified, and are now qualified for canonization.

ARCHBISHOP VISITS RTK'S CAMPAIGN 'FAMILJI FIL-BZONN'

On Sunday the 20th December 2009, Archbishop Paul Cremona OP visited RTK’s fund-raising campaign in aid of families in need. Around 300 children attended this event which took place at the Seminary in Tal-Virtu’.

The Archbishop highlighted the importance of devoting further attention to children in need to maintain and help them express their dignity. The Archbishop also encouraged such fund-raising iniatives which are being organized during this time of the year… Read more »
