The Holy See’s financial situation could improve this year, but the situation continues to be one of “continual difficulties,” the Vatican reports. On Saturday 23rd January, at the Archbishop’s Curia, Floriana, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. welcomed those involved in ecumenical activities in the Archdiocese of Malta. This meeting – the first of its kind – was organized by the Diocesan Ecumenical Commission on the occasion of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.

On the occasion of the third anniversary of his Episcopal Ordination, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. will be celebrating a Thanksgiving Mass at St. John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta, on Sunday 24 January 2010, at 5.30pm.

The following day, the Archbishop will be celebrating his 64th birthday. Mgr Cremona was born on 25 January 1946.
