On Saturday, 10th April, 2010, Archbishop Paul Cremona OP made a surprise visit to youths in Paceville in preparation for Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to Malta. The Archbishop along with a group of young journalists, who were invited for this occasion, invited their peers to attend for the youth meeting with the Pope at the Valletta Waterfront. It has always been our firm conviction that the shipwreck which caused the apostle Paul to be washed ashore on our islands did not happen merely by coincidence. On Friday, 9th April, 2010, Archbishop Paul Cremona OP led the National Pilgrimage, with Bishop Mario Grech along with the participation of both the Dioceses of Malta and Gozo. This pilgrimage was held in preparation for the Papal visit.

Recently, His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, sent a letter to the Church in Ireland, regarding the tragic incidents involving the sexual abuse of minors. In his letter, he made reference to the horror surrounding these crimes. He referred to them as “criminal and sinful acts”. Much to the shame of the Church, these crimes are more horrifying when they are perpetrated by members of the clergy. … Read more »
