ARCHBISHOP MEETS PHARMACISTS

On Thursday 14th January 2010, Archbishop Paul Cremona OP was invited to a meeting organised by the Secretariat for the Laity in collaboration with the Chamber of Pharmacists, at the ‘Ċentru Animazzjoni u Kummisjoni’, in Birkirkara. Rev. Prof. Manuel Agius, Faculty of Theology Deacon and lecturer for Moral and Bioethics at the University of Malta, also attended this meeting.

PROGRAM FOR POPE’S SYNAGOGUE VISIT THIS SUNDAY

During his visit to the Jewish community of Rome this Sunday, Benedict XVI will honor the more than 1,000 victims of the Nazi deportation of 1943.

The program of the Pope’s trip was reported today by Vatican Radio.

CARITAS FUND IN AID OF HAITI VICTIMS

Caritas Malta has initiated a fundraising campaign in aid of the earthquake victims and their families in Haiti.

The Archbishop of Malta, Mgr Paul Cremona OP and the Bishop of Gozo, Mgr Mario Grech, have given their approval for this fundraising campaign and appealed for people’s generosity to help those who are suffering as a result of the devastating earthquake in Haiti… Read more »

Even the Churches in Europe have been deeply shocked by the extent of the destruction caused by the earthquake that had hit the population of Haiti. Prayers, Mass services for the victims, and appeals to donate with generosity.

Next Saturday, Parisians will gather in prayer in the Cathedral of Notre-Dame where Archbishop Card. André Vingt-Trois will celebrate a Mass “in communion with the Church in Haiti – as explained in a statement released by the archdiocese – for the earthquake victims and for all the people who have been injured or affected by the disaster”… Read more »
