ARCHBISHOP CONTINUES HIS PASTORAL VISIT IN MOSTA

On Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th October, 2010, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. met the Augustinian Sisters’ Community, visited the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catechetical Centre in Mosta, met the Liturgical Commission followed by another meeting with the Commission for the Family. PONTIFF ANNOUNCES NEW EVANGELIZATION SYNOD FOR 2012

Benedict XVI announced today the theme for the next general assembly of the Synod of Bishops: The new evangelization. The Pope made the announcement today at the closing Mass of the Special Assembly for the Middle East of the Synod of Bishops, and repeated it before praying the Angelus at midday with those gathered in St. Peter’s Square.
The next Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops will be held in 2012, and will be dedicated to the theme “The New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Christian Faith,” the Pontiff said… Read more »

SYNOD LOOKS AT 41 PROPOSALS FOR POPE

For now at least, the work of the synod on the Middle East is focused on 41 proposals that, after further revisions, will be presented to Benedict XVI this Saturday.Among the most representative topics included in these proposals is ecumenical dialogue, interreligious dialogue with Muslims and Jews, and the decisive importance of the Christian presence in the Middle East.
