IRELAND AIDS PAKISTANI FLOOD VICTIMS

Catholics across Ireland joined to aid the 20 million Pakistani flood victims through a nationwide Church collection. Pakistan saw its most devastating monsoon rainy season in decades, which caused flooding that brought as many as 2,000 deaths and affected another 20 million people. The area affected by the floods is about the size of England.

NEW PARISH PRIEST FOR SAINT AUGUSTINE’S PARISH, VALLETTA

Rev. Fr Raymond Francalanza OSA was appointed as the new Parish Priest for Saint Augustine’s Parish in Valletta. He took office after the celebration of the Provincial Chapter held last April by the Order of Saint Augustine in Malta.

CHILDREN FROM DINGLI PARISH PRESENTED TO OUR LADY

Last Tuesday, 17th August 2010, during a mass which was led by Archbishop Paul Cremona OP, the gift of life was celebrated. As part of the preparations for the feast of St Mary at Dingli, the parish has chosen as a theme: the Blessed Virgin Mary – cause of our joy.
