“Today we all run the risk of living as if God did not exist”. The Pope made this extempore speech at the end of today’s general audience catechesis in front of approximately 25,000 faithful. NEW APPOINTMENTS AT THE VATICAN

Benedict XVI appointed Archbishop Mauro Piacenza, 66, secretary of the Congregation for Clergy, as prefect of the same dicastery. A Vatican communiqué reported today that the Pope also appointed Archbishop Robert Sarah, 65, secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, as president of the Pontifical Council Cor Unum.

Volunteers’ Night: Homecoming 2010

Friday, October 8th, 2010 was Volunteer’s Night where young people who spent their summers in voluntary missions came together to share their experiences.
