News from the Church in Malta
On Sunday 4th December 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. celebrated Mass at the Carmelite church in Mdina, as part of his pastoral visit and afterwards met with the people. Later on, the Archbishop visited Benedictan Sisters’ Community at St Peter’s Monastery.

On Saturday 3rd December 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. met members of the civil society of Mdina as part of his pastoral visit. Later on, the Archbishop officially began his Pastoral Visit to the Parish of Mdina by celebrating Mass at the Cathedral and afterwards meeting people.

9.30 a.m. The Archbishop meets the Archpriest in preparation for his pastoral visit in his parish, at the Curia.
4.00 p.m. The Archbishop meets the Metropolitan Chapter of Mdina Cathedral, at the Cathedral.
Saturday, 3rd December
4.00 p.m. The Archbishop meets the members of the Civil Society at the Cathedral.

Archbishop Zygmunt Zimowski
The deaths each year of more than a million people from AIDS, the suffering of their families and the new infections of hundreds of thousands of infants are unacceptable when the medicines needed to prevent them exist, a Vatican official said. On Thursday 1st December 2011, the people of Malta paid their last respects to Mgr Annetto Depasquale, Titular Bishop of Aradi, Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Malta. Mass was held at St. John’s CoCathedral, Valletta and was led by Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. Benedict’s general prayer intention for December is: “That all peoples may grow in harmony and peace through mutual understanding and respect”.
His mission intention is: “That children and young people may be messengers of the Gospel and that they may be respected and preserved from all violence and exploitation”.
