The Vatican announced the schedule for Benedict XVI’s June 4-5 apostolic trip to Croatia for the National Day of Croatian Catholic Families.

Youth Day celebration on Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday, 17th  April, 2011 – the Day of Youth was commemorated by the Diocese in the Parish of San Ġwann. Accompanied by thousands of pilgrims waiving palms in memory of Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, Benedict XVI today asked if the symbolism of today’s liturgy is merely a “ritual” and a “quaint custom.”

OUR LADY OF SORROWS PENITENTIAL PILGRIMAGE

On Friday 15th April, 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. led the Lenten penitential pilgrimage with the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows, from the Church of Ta’ Giesu in Valletta. The pilgrimage was attended by hundreds of devout Catholics.
