A MEETING OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH AND THE WORLD COUNCIL OF CHURCHES

The JOINT WORKING GROUP MEETING of the Roman Catholic Church and the World Council of Churches will be held in Malta, at the St George Preca Centre, Archbishop’s Seminary, Rabat, between Monday 31st October and Saturday 5th November. The Diocesan Ecumenical Commission and the Hospitality Staff at the Seminary have been assisting the organizers with regard to logistical arrangements.

Although the Catholic Church is not a member of the World Council of Churches (WCC), there has been a solid partnership in the shared quest for Christian unity… Read more »

NEW ARCHPRIEST FOR ST PAUL’S SHIPWRECK, VALLETTA

Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. has appointed Fr Mario Tong as the new archpriest of St Paul’s Shipwreck Parish, Valletta.

Fr Mario Tong was born in Hamrun on 29th April, 1953. He received his education at Paola Primary School, the Minor Seminary and Major Seminary.

Fr Mario was ordained priest on 19th June, 1977. He started his pastoral work as parish priest in St Joseph the Worker parish in Gibraltar in 1978… Read more »

More volume to Christian musicians

On Saturday 29th October 2011, christian musicians convene for a formation seminar at Dar Frate Jacoba in Marsascala ahead of the upcoming World Youth Day Song Contest.

The conference, themed MoreVolume, is divided between discussion sessions and hands-on workshops focusing on the unique call of musicians as ministers.

VATICAN DOCUMENT CALLS FOR GLOBAL AUTHORITY TO REGULATE MARKETS
