ARCHBISHOP MEETS H.E. CARDINAL AGOSTINO VALLINI AT MOSTA CHURCH

On Thursday 9th February 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P.  addressed His Eminence Cardinal Agostino Vallini, Vicar of Rome, and a group of bishops and priests, at Mosta Parish Church, prior to praying Lauds. Cardinal Vallini arrived in Malta on Tuesday 7th February leading four bishops and 150 priests from the diocese of Rome on a Pauline Pilgrimage.

EPISCOPAL ORDINATION OF MGR PROSPERO GRECH – TITULAR ARCHBISHOP OF SAN LEONE


On Wednesday 8th February 2012, Mgr Prospero Grech O.S.A., Cardinal Elect, was ordained Archbishop at St John’s Cocathedral in Valletta. Mgr Grech was consecrated by Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. and was given the title of Titular Archbishop of St Leone (Italy). EPISCOPAL RING PRESENTED AS A GIFT TO MGR PROSPERO GRECH

On Tuesday 7th February 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P., presented Mgr Prospero Grech O.S.A. the episcopal ring as a gift from the the Archdiocese of Malta. The ring will be used during Mgr Grech’s episcopal ordination on Wednesday 8th February. The ring was designed by Joseph Galea and the gold work was entrusted to Vanni Bartolo. The ring shows St Paul holding a cross, with a viper leaping from a bonfire after the saint was shipwrecked in Malta… Read more »

Cardinal-designates praying with Pope Benedict XVI

The College of Cardinals and those who will join its number Feb. 18 will gather for a day of prayer and reflection prior to the consistory, by invitation of Benedict XVI.
