Live: Episcopal Ordination of Fr Henry Balzan, Saturday 15 June, 4:30pm

Tomorrow, Saturday 15 June 2024, at 4:30pm (Malta time), there will be Mass with the episcopal ordination of Fr Henry Joseph Balzan, who Pope Francis appointed as Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of La Serena, in Chile. Mass will take place at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Mercy in La Serena.

Mass will be concelebrated by Auxiliary Bishop of Malta Joseph Galea-Curmi; Fr Gordon Refalo, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Parish in Gżira; Fr Paul Buttigieg, who spent several years as a missionary in Chile; and Fr Mark Mallia Pawley, a Maltese priest who is currently working in the Diocese of Copiapó in Chile… Read more »

Archbishop’s Curia leads the way as first religious institution to sign diversity charter

A recent report by UNICEF, the UN Children’s Fund, says that in the Middle East and North Africa around 34 million children under the age of five are living in food poverty.

70 players started training sessions for the Volleyball Marathon in aid of Id-Dar tal‑Providenza, which this year will be held between Friday 19th and Sunday 21st July 2024. The players are being assisted by 12 coaches.
