Pontificial Mass on the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul

New Parish Priest for Birżebbuġa parish

Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. has appointed Can. Anton Galea Scannura as parish priest of Saint Peter in Chains parish in Birżebbuġa.

Despite protests, Archbishop assures safety at WYD

The archbishop of Rio de Janeiro has reassured young people planning to attend World Youth Day that the protests occurring in various cities in Brazil will not affect the massive event. Archbishop Orani Joao Tempesta told Vatican Radio June 21 he has spoken with Brazilian intelligence officials who have guaranteed that World Youth Day will be a safe event. A multi-sensory room is inaugurated for use by residents of Id-Dar tal-Providenza

On Monday 24th June 2013, the President of Malta, H.E. Dr George Abela and Mrs Abela officially opened a brand new Multi Sensory Room for use by residents of Id-Dar tal-Providenza and this room was blessed by Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. The Vatican’s Congregation for Eastern Churches is mourning the brutal murder of Fr Franҫois Mourad, a Syrian monk. In a statement issued Tuesday the Prefect Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, expresses “the deepest condolences to the Syro-Catholic Church, with the Patriarch SB Ignace Youssef III Younan, the Custody of the Holy Land and all the faithful of the beloved nation”.
