These were the words of people that came to know closely Fr. Eric Overend, the Żejtun Archpriest, during the Mass of his funeral, held yesterday 1st May 2013, at the Parish Church. His coffin was accompanied by his mother Carmen, that had passed away two days before him.

Dun Eric twieled fit-28 ta’ Marzu 1966 filwaqt li ġie ordnat saċerdot fit-8 ta’ Lulju, 1994. Huwa kien Arċipriet tal-Parroċċa Santa Katarina, fiż-Żejtun.

Dun Eric Overend kien membru tal-Kummissjoni Interdjoċesana Ambjent filwaqt li għal diversi snin kien ukoll il-President tal-Kulleġġ tal-Kappillani.
