  • On Saturday, 27th April 2019, Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna ordained four new priests for the Archdiocese of Malta. They are Fr Peter Ellul from the St Paul’s Shipwreck parish in Valletta, Fr Jean Gove from the Mosta parish, Fr Aaryton Ray Muscat from the Mtarfa parish and Fr Matthew Pulis from the Iklin parish.

Pope invites the deaf to help others “hear” the voice of God

  • The Italian Federation of Associations for the Deaf was founded in 1920. In the words of its original mission statement, it was created in order to “counter the isolation, marginalization, and humiliation of the hearing and speech impaired”.

On feast of St George, Pope gives Rosaries to young people

Sri Lanka Easter attacks draw international condemnation, prayer for victims

A Christian Vision for the European Parliament

  • In the run-up to the European Parliament elections, the Justice and Peace Commission is organising a dialogue event about a proposal document issued by the commission. The discussion of these proposals aims at fostering a spirit of healthy political dialogue in preparation for this political appointment.

    The four main political parties will be represented in this event, together with leaders of Church movements and organisations.

Easter Sunday attacks in Sri Lanka kill at least 100

  • At least 100 people were killed in explosions Easter morning, detonated in churches and hotels across Sri Lanka. Hundreds more are reportedly injured.
