22/04/2023 St John's Co-Cathedral, VallettaL-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna
“Ma nsejħilkomx aktar qaddejja, għax il-qaddej ma jafx x’jagħmel sidu; sejjaħtilkom ħbieb” (Ġw 15:15). Int u tisma’ din il-Kelma proprju bħal-lum fid-djakonat, tgħid imma Ġesù jaf eżattament x’inhu jgħid. Meta aħna għadna kemm ikkonfermajna l-għażla tal-Knisja, biex lil dawn iż-żewġt irġiel żgħażagħ insejħulhom qaddejja, djakni – diákonoi.
“Ma nsejħilkomx aktar qaddejja” (Ġw 15:15); imma ma jsejħilhomx qaddejja għax ma jridhomx qaddejja li ma jafux x’jagħmel sidhom… Read more »

Mass on the second Sunday of Easter
16/04/2023 The Church of Divine Mercy, NaxxarL-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna
F’din is-silta li għadna kemm smajna mill-Evanġelju ta’ San Ġwann, smajna r-rakkont ta’ żewġ laqgħat ta’ Ġesù wara l-irxoxt tiegħu. L-ewwel laqgħa hi propju dakinhar tal-irxoxt tiegħu. Fil-fatt l-Evanġelju ta’ San Ġwann jgħidilna: “Dakinhar fil-għaxija fl-ewwel jum tal-ġimgħa” (Ġw 20:19). F’din l-ewwel laqgħa tiegħu wara l-qawmien tiegħu mill-imwiet, il-Mulej jagħti lid-dixxipli tiegħu dak li hu forsi l-frott l-iżjed bnin u qawwi tal-irxoxt tiegħu, tal-qawmien tiegħu mill-mewt, it-tislima tiegħu: “Il-paċi magħkom” (Ġw 20:19)… Read more »
