  • The Little Sisters of the Poor came to Malta over a hundred years ago, and their first home was at Pieta’ ; in 1880 they acquired the old palace de Blacas in Hamrun renewing and enlarging it to become the St Paul’ s Home for the elderly. In 1972, they opened another home at Naxxar in a house donated by the Maltese Jesuits; today the home at Naxxar is run by the Catholic Action.
