Three seminarians, who are currently in their fifth year of studies at the Archbishop’s Seminary, will ask Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna to accept them officially as candidates for the Ordination to the Diaconate and the Priesthood. This celebration will be held on Sunday 1st November 2020, during All Saints Day Mass at St John’s Co‑Cathedral, Valletta, at 9:30 a.m.
Ian Diacono from the Parish of Stella Maris, Tas-Sliema, Gylan Camilleri from the Parish of St Anne, Marsaskala, and Clive Seychell from the Parish of St Joseph, Kalkara, will publicly manifest their will to offer themselves to the Church to serve in the ministerial priesthood.
Whilst accepting their offering with joy, the Archbishop will call on the candidates to ensure that during the remaining years prior to their ordination, they will prepare themselves to worthily receive Holy Orders.
The Christian community is asked to pray for these three new candidates for the priesthood.
