The Diocesan Youth Commission (KDŻ) is marking 30 years since its foundation in January 1983. The Commission is the official entity within the church responsible for youth ministry in Malta.

Over the years the Commission has introduced new trends and perspectives in the service of young people. Among the most memorable initiatives remain the editions of Festażgħażagħ, the publication of Djarju Ħabib series, the educational campaign Towards A More Beautiful Sexual Life, Pope Benedict’s welcome by the young on the Valletta Waterfront and the World Youth Day Song Contests.

In this time, KDŻ understands its role as a network of the young church. Its mission is to offer the young quality experiences of faith through the continued support to youth ministers and communites. In this 30th anniversary, KDŻ is pursuing the preferential choice of the Church in Malta towards meaningful and lasting formation processes.
