On Sunday 30th June 2013, the start-of-summer event with KDZ, is on at SKY Club, Paceville from 7pm onwards. The theme, “2by2” reflects the missionarity of many young people who, this summer, will engage in voluntary service. Like the disciples in Luke 10:1 they are being sent out in the name of Jesus.
2by2 will feature live performances by some of the best christian bands; specially-created mocktail recipes, and the annual Sending-Off Ceremony where the Archbishop symbolically gives the mandate to the young volunteers. This summer, close to 500 young people are participating in voluntary projects in Malta and around the world.
Entrance to 2by2 is free but donations will be collected in aid of the SCE Children’s Fund, an official organization that supports vulnerable children in church schools.
