My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament.

There was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. He came to Jesus at night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one can do these signs that you are doing unless God is with him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.”

Nicodemus said to him, “How can a person once grown old be born again? … Read more »

Mass on the second Sunday of Easter and feast of the Divine Mercy

  Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Id-dixxipli kienu flimkien, imbeżżgħa mil-Lhud, bil-bibien magħluqa” (Ġw 20:19). Dan hu li naqraw illum fl-Evanġelju skont San Ġwann, u mal-ewwel nidħlu f’xena mimlija tensjoni u biża’. Id-dixxipli jinsabu  miġbura flimkien wara bibien magħluqa. Dawn il-bibien mhux biss kienu magħluqa minn barra, imma kienu wkoll simbolu tal-qalb tagħhom: qalb magħluqa mill-biża’, mill-ħtija, mid-diżappunt u mill-konfużjoni. Huma kienu raw lil Ġesù jmut, kienu raw il-ħolm tagħhom jitfarrak, it-tama tagħhom qisha tgħib fix-xejn, u forsi kienu qed jistaqsu lilhom infushom jekk kollox kienx spiċċa hemm… Read more »

Prayer Vigil led by Pope Leo XIV

  St Peter's Basilica, the Vatican

Reflection of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV at the Prayer Vigil for Peace

Dear brothers and sisters,

Your prayer is an expression of that faith which, according to the words of Jesus, moves mountains (cf. Mt 17:20).  Thank you for accepting this invitation to gather here at the tomb of Saint Peter and in so many other places around the world to pray for peace.  War divides; hope unites… Read more »

With him there is always an abundance of good! – Bishop Galea‑Curmi

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa, Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Dak il-lejl ma qabdu xejn” (Ġw 21:3). Dan hu li naqraw fuq dawn id-dixxipli ta’ Ġesù li ddeċidew li jmorru ma’ Pietru jistadu. Għamlu lejl sħiħ u ma qabdu xejn. Imma ftit wara, fl-Evanġelju jgħid li “waddbu x-xibka, imbagħad ma felħux jiġbduha daqskemm qabdu ħut!” (Ġw 21:6). X’ġara? Aħna nafu li fil-fatt dawn, meta reġgħu lura x-xatt, raw lil xi ħadd hemmhekk – li kien Ġesù, imma ma għarfuhx – u dan qalilhom: “Waddbu x-xibka n-naħa tal-lemin tad-dgħajsa, u ssibu” (Ġw 21:6)… Read more »
