Ġesù qiegħed fit-tempju, u jitkellem fuq tempju ieħor. L-Evanġelju stess jispjegalna li kien qed jitkellem fuq it-tempju tal-ġisem tiegħu. Jgħidilhom: “Ħottu dan it-tempju u fi tlitt ijiem nerġa’ ntellgħu” (Ġw 2:19).

Hekk kien jiġri mill-kapijiet u l-awtoritajiet politiċi ta’ dak iż-żmien – min minħabba l-għira u min minħabba l-biża’ li jiddeċiedu li jeliminawh – iħottu t-tempju li kien il-ġisem għażiż tiegħu.
