Year after year, this movement has worked persistently to promote respect towards the dignity and the rights of the unborn child, and the child’s protection and development. Today, I would like to thank all those who have worked tirelessly to raise awareness of life at its most vulnerable and dependent, when it needs the greatest support and care… Read more »

Our connection with God gives our life a different flavour – The Archbishop

Mass on the fifth Sunday in Ordindary time

The Parish Church of St John of the Cross, Ta' Xbiex

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Din is-silta mill-ewwel kapitlu tal-Evanġelju ta’ San Mark li qegħdin naqraw din is-sena f’jum il-Ħadd, tagħtina ftit elementi importanti mill-ħajja ta’ kuljum ta’ Ġesù.

Qegħdin fil-belt ta’ Kafarnahum. Kafarnahum kienet il-belt li adotta Ġesù wara li telaq minn Nazaret u kienet punt ta’ riferiment, kienet il-belt fejn kien iħobb jirritorna f’dawk it-tliet snin li għamel iterraq ma’ dak li llum insejħulu Iżrael u l-Palestina, l-Art Imqaddsa, il-Galilija u l- Lhudija… Read more »

The arrival of the King of glory – Bishop Galea-Curmi

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Jidħol fit-tempju tiegħu s-Sid li intom qegħdin tfittxu” (Mal 3:1). Dan hu li naqraw illum fil-Ktieb tal-Profeta Malakija, fil-Festa tal-Preżentazzjoni tal-Mulej. U jkompli hekk Malakija, jgħid: “Min se jissaporti l-Jum tal-miġja tiegħu? U min hu li se jieqaf meta jidher?” (Mal 3:2)

Naraw mill-ewwel il-kuntrast bejn dan il-kliem u dak li seħħ fil-Preżentazzjoni ta’ Ġesù fit-tempju. Meta Ġużeppi u Marija ħadu lil Ġesù fit-tempju, hemmhekk ħaduh tarbija li ġarrewha magħhom, u hemmhekk daħlu b’din it-tarbija fit-tempju… Read more »
