On this day let us no longer hold grudges against one another – Archbishop

  Beacon Media Offices, Blata l-Bajda

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

“Minn dak il-ħin id-dixxiplu ħadha għandu” (Ġw 19:27). Aħna qegħdin nagħmlu din it-tifkira, biex nidħlu f’dan l-atteġġjament tad-dixxiplu l-maħbub; li jilqa’ għandu lil Marija ta’ Nazaret, il-mamà ta’ Ġesù. U niftakru fil-messaġġ li l-anġlu kien ta lir-raġel tagħha, lil Ġużeppi, meta f’mument ta’ diffikultà kbira għall-omm, li ħarġet tqila bil-qawwa tal-Ispirtu s-Santu, u riedet tispjega lil żewġha x’ġara. Tingħata l-għajnuna mingħand l-anġlu tal-Mulej, li lil Ġużeppi jgħidlu: “Ġużeppi, bin David, xejn la tibża’ tilqa’ għandek lil martek Marija, għax dak li tnissel fiha ġej mill-Ispirtu s-Santu” (Mt 1:20)… Read more »

X’seta’ għamlilhom dan it-tifel?” Ftit qabel, rajt l-istorja ta’ omm f’Israel li tilfet lil binha ta’ 20 sena maqtul mill-Ħamas fis-7 ta’ Ottubru 2023… Read more »

The Archbishop reflects: everything starts from peace in the heart

Lenten Reflection 2024

For 2024, the Bishops of Malta and Gozo are proposing that as a country, and as Christians, we ought to reflect on the five gifts of God that Dun Karm Psaila, the national poet, reminds us of in Malta’s national anthem: sound judgement, mercy, health, unity and peace. This reflection is particularly significant as this year, Malta celebrates 60 years of independence and 50 years as a republic… Read more »
