The Gospel of the day: 24th April

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Ma fehmux x’ried jgħidilhom” (Ġw 10:6). Dan huwa li naqraw fl-Evanġelju skont San Ġwann meta Ġesù kien qed ikellem lin-nies bil-parabboli u huma ma fehmuhx. Mhijiex l-ewwel darba li ma fehmux. Ġesù kien qed ifisser kif hu r-ragħaj it-tajjeb, imbagħad ikompli jispjega wkoll kif hu l-bieb tan-ngħaġ. Jispjegalhom bil-parabboli, imma huma ma fehmux. Imma fl-aħħar jgħidilhom xi ħaġa li nixtieq li llum nieqfu speċjalment fuqha għaliex tiġbor ħafna l-missjoni ta’ Ġesù fost in-nies: “Jien ġejt biex ikollkom il-ħajja, u l-ħajja bil-kotra” (Ġw 10:10)… Read more »
