Spiritual Development in Schools: helping students and teachers stop, reflect and pray

Religious education lessons may well be the most visible presence of the Catholic Church in Maltese state schools, but dozens of religious counsellors – and many volunteers and pastoral workers – also play an active role, helping in the spiritual and personal development of students, educators and staff alike.

Live-in for parish priests 2024: A Church closer to the community

Parish priests in Malta recently convened for their annual live-in event, themed “an outgoing Church,” aligning with the ecclesial renewal process of the Church in Malta under the banner of “one Church, one journey.”

Church entities appeal for the ban of sales of HHC products in Malta

Caritas Malta, Fondazzjoni Oasi, the Church Schools Association and the Secretariat for Catholic Education are advocating for the banning of HHC products being sold across the Maltese Islands.

With the legislation for the Responsible Use of Cannabis, we have seen the sprouting of a number of cannabis stores or grow shops around the island marketing and selling low THC (the active ingredient producing the ‘high’ in cannabis) products, cannabis seeds and cannabis related equipment… Read more »
