“Qalgħu s-saqaf ta’ fuqu, fetħu toqba, u niżżlu minnha l-friex li fuqu kien mimdud il-mifluġ” (Mk 2:4). Din hija d-deskrizzjoni li nsibu fl-Evanġelju skont San Mark ta’ dak li għamlu dawn l-erbgħa min-nies li kienu qed iġorru l-mifluġ, u ma setgħux jaslu sa ħdejn Ġesù minħabba l-folla, u għalhekk b’mod kreattiv qalu: nidħlu mhux mill-bieb, lanqas mit-tieqa, imma mis-saqaf… Read more »

Pope at Audience: Jesus goes to the person, to the heart

  Paul VI Audience Hall, Vatican

Dear brothers and sisters, good morning!

Today we begin a new cycle of catechesis, dedicated to an urgent and decisive theme for Christian life: the passion for evangelisation, that is, apostolic zeal. It is a vital dimension for the Church: the community of Jesus’ disciples is in fact born apostolic, born missionary, not proselytizing. And from the start we have to distinguish: being missionary, being apostolic, evangelizing, is not the same as proselytizing, they have nothing to do with one another… Read more »

Eċċellenzi Reverendissimi,
Membri tat-Tribunali Ekkleżjastiċi,
Mistiendna distinti,

Hu ta’ pjaċir kbir għalija li nilqagħkom f’isem l-Arċisqof Scicluna għal dan il-ftuħ uffiċjali tas-Sena Ġudizzjali tat-Tribunali tal-Provinċja Ekkleżjastika Maltija. L-Arċisqof jinsab indispost illejla u allura din is-sena dan l-unur li niftaħ s-sena forensi mess lili.

Din hi l-ħames inawgurazzjoni minn meta bdiet issir; inqabżet sena waħda biss minħabba r-restrizzjonijiet tal-pandemija, u għalhekk qed nieħu gost li għal darb’oħra t-tliet tribunali laqgħu bil-qalb l-istedina tal-Papa Franġisku sabiex ikunu dejjem iktar miftuħa għal dawk il-membri tal-Knisja li jixtiequ jdawlu l-kuxjenza tagħhom imma spiss jinżammu lura mill-istrutturi ġudizzjali tal-Knisja għal raġuni jew oħra… Read more »
