L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Bdiet tfaħħar lil Alla” (Lq 13:13). Dan hu li naqraw fl-Evanġelju skont San Luqa llum fuq din il-mara li kienet ilha tmintax-il sena sħaħ marida, u li fis-sinagoga ltaqgħet ma’ Ġesù. Hawnhekk l-Evanġelju jgħid li kienet anke milwija ħafna, lanqas setgħet toqgħod dritta. Itaqgħet ma’ Ġesù, u hu sejħilha. U Ġesù qiegħed idejh fuqha u fejjaqha. Naqraw fl-Evanġelju: “minnufih waqfet dritta u bdiet tfaħħar lil Alla” (Lq 13:13)… Read more »

Mass on the 30th Sunday of the year

The Parish Church of the Annunciation, Ħal Balzan

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

Għandna llum fl-Evanġelju storja ta’ tnejn min-nies – wieħed Fariżew u l-ieħor Pubblikan. It-tnejn kienu jemmnu f’Alla, it-tnejn kienu jmorru t-tempju, imma t-tnejn kellhom attitudni differenti li kienet toħroġ ċara ħafna fit-talb tagħhom. Tajjeb li naraw x’jgħallmuna t-tnejn li huma għal ħajjitna.

Ftaħir u tmaqdir

Ħa nħarsu lejn il-Fariżew. Fit-tempju jagħmel talba li qisha ringrazzjament  lil Alla… Read more »

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

✠ Charles Jude Scicluna
    Arċisqof ta’ Malta

Il-ħarsa ta’ Ġesù hi ħarsa ta’ ħniena fuq kulħadd. Illum iħares lejn kategorija ta’ nies, li nnota kienu jafdaw fihom infushom, li huma ġusti u jmaqdru lill-oħrajn. Tgħiduli: ‘dawn in-nies kienu jgħixu fi żmien Ġesù’. Imma nistaqsu lilna nfusna: m’hemmx xi ftit minn dan ukoll fil-qalb tagħna, fil-qalb tiegħi u tiegħek? … Read more »
